Peanut Butter Cookies

Well, about a year or so ago I was pregnant with Adam and home with the girls like any old day and got the urge to bake homemade cookies. I hardly ever bake anything unless it's around Thanksgiving or Christmas, which means I was out of flour, didn't have any brown sugar, or chocolate chips. I decided to search the internet for an easy way to make peanut butter cookies......and I found a great one. It's the easiest too, and I'm sure everyone has already known about this forever, but anyhow here's the recipe

1 cup peanut butter

1 cup sugar

1 egg

That's right! That's all you need!! Mix it altogether and roll into balls, use a fork to make the lattice looking top, sprinkle with a little sugar and bake @ 375 fr 8-11 minutes.....(9 works best for me).

Since then I can't seem to stop baking them! So if you would like to try them beware, they're addicting! I even tried to make another kind with all the usual baking good stuff and they didn't even taste like peanut butter cookies! So there you go! It's super easy and not a lot of clean up either! All my kiddos love them, with the exception of Maximus.....not big enough yet ;)

Sunshine stuck in the basketball net!
 Joy having a blast!

 Ducky after sliding!

The birthday girls!

Well, the girls had a great birthday party at Pump It Up. We had family and friends there and it was perfect! It's overwhelming to think we have a 4 year old and a 3 year old! And it's really overwhelming to think that Joy will be starting kindergarten in 2010! Once you have kiddos time sure does fly by! Nothing major has been going on at our house lately, just the same stuff that happens everyday. Sunshine is teething and is getting all 4 of her 1 year molars, no fun for anybody, but she has been sleeping more than I expected she would so that's great! Over spring break my friend Michelle and her two little boys came to visit! We had so much fun! It was great seeing them! Maximus will be 6 months old this month and I can't believe it!

Marching into birthdays....

With March comes many things for our family; spring, birthdays, and new adventures. Today is March 11th and our oldest Joy turned 4 yesterday! It is amazing to think about having 4 kids, when your oldest just turned 4! My how time flies....it seems like just yesterday we were coming home with each of them! Well, Joy got to go to MDO on her birthday and she took cupcakes for her friends. She also had special visitors once we got home. Pop, Lala, and cousin Garrett came over with pizza and cupcakes! We had a great time!

In 11 days we get to celebrate Ducky's 3rd birthday the same way! We are having their birthday party at Pump It Up this year and everyone here is super excited! Chris and I were even invited to the birthday party by Joy and Ducky! :) haha They're too funny!

Sunshine and Maximus are growing so quickly it's hard to keep up with everything they accomplish each day! Sunshine is almost 17 months old and is into everything and I mean everything! She climbs on everything and in the past few days has shown interest in the potty! Maximus is already 5 months old and is growing so quickly. He and Sunshine are almost the same size! He's been rolling over and over and over and hasn't mastered sitting up yet, but we're working on it!

Just this past weekend Jenifer, Chris' sister went with us to the Tyler Rose Garden and took our family pictures for this year. She did an amazing job!! She is so talented! And on a side note all the kids cooperated very well and I didn't even lose my cool! All in all it was a great day!!

Ducky (2)

 Joy (3)

Max (3 months)

Sunshine (14 months)

Above is an individual picture of our precious kiddos....

Well, it's been a really long time since my last blog, and we've added two more children to the family! Sunshine was born on 10.22.07 and then less than a year later Max was born on 10.3.08. I had my tubes tied and here we are!

We are living in Gladewater and are almost finished building our first house! Chris is still working at the Social Security Administration and still running his business. I am still at home with the kids until they are all in school, and then I will start teaching again. In February Chris and I will celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. Joy will be 4 in March and Ducky will be 3 in March. It's crazy how time flies by so quickly!! More later...

It's Already August!

I can't believe it's already August! This summer has flown by! I guess if some of you want to be technical we still have a few weeks of summer left. I know we've been busy with building our house and Chris working all the time! Here are some updates....

Joy is officially off the paci for good. She is talking in sentences and we are able to understand her a lot more. She loves playing outside and going to the beach....our blow up pool outside! She is being a good big sister to Ducky and has realized in her own way that Baby Sunshine will be coming soon. We were going to start her in dance classes and we still might, but seeing as how all that is offered is Mommy and Me classes at this age, I think we'll wait and until after Sunshine gets here. But for the record, Joy LOVES to dance!
Ducky is doing super well too. She's saying a few words here and there, not one to talk much. She loves stickers, balls, blocks, and books. I guess that would be the 3 B's. She also loves the pool and playing outside. Any chance the door is open she is trying the get out! As for Ducky realizing mommy is going to have a baby, it hasn't happened yet! She's way too busy to notice. Her day is filled with climbing on everything imaginable, dumping everything out of it's container and slamming doors when left open! She keeps us moving!

As for Sunshine, she's staying put for as long as possible. She seems to be a very calm baby, just the normal kicks, nudges, and rolls. She does however wake me up every once in a while. I guess with all the action during the day, she sleeps through most of it! We're expecting her to be here around the week before her due date.

Chris and I are doing super well. He's working all the time out of the house, and I'm keeping everything in line in our home. Once this house gets built life will hopefully be moving a little slower. We have been building for a while, paying as we go, and it will [ :)] payoff in the end! I will try to include some photos in the next post.

Well, that's what going on in our lives right now...

Spring has Sprung!

Well, I've decided to start a blog of our family, so everyone near and dear to us can catch up on what's going on in our life!

As of right now we are living in our beautiful, unfinished home and loving it. We started building it in April 0f 2006, and we moved in Easter weekend. Chris and I have been married for 4 years now and we couldn't be happier. We had our first child, Joy (2) in March of 2005, our second daughter Ruby (1) in March of 2006, and we are expecting another bundle of joy in late October. Chris and I will officially be outnumbered then!

My days consist of changing diapers, playing peek-a-boo, reading children's book and being a chef. (And it doesn't look like that's going to change anytime soon :) ) Chris is busy with his business and the SSA. He's always on the go, providing for his family! We're all doing great and we hope every else is too!

(Names have been changed to protect the innocent!)
